What to take and what not to take

sunny 20 °C

Nearly ready for the off...so along with the toothbrush and spare knickers I am packing my spirit of adventure and my very best sense of humour. Unfortunately also my pathetic sense of direction which should make for interesting reading later on. I am planning to lose along the way my stress and irritability, and hopefully a few lbs.

I will miss my kids, my oven!, my bath and my straighteners!!! But maybe gain a few stories and some patience.

So armed with a book on kindness (minus the clenched teeth) and a large friendly mutt, HERE WE GO!!!

Getting used to Life in the Slow Lane

semi-overcast

I picked up the 'van' today and it was love at first sight. I have christened her Big Bertha because she is big and she is beautiful but she is slow. It took me 5 minutes to overtake the second slowest vehicle on the motorway.

Planning

overcast 25 °C

Five days till I pick up the 'van' and looking forward to letting the inner hippy out. Planning such as it is involves buying a couple of maps - and a compass and plan to head for the Gower coast, the Pembrokeshire coast, then via Reading to pick up the kids and off to the West Highlands
